Cosmic Consciousness - Kundalini - Holy Spirit
Let me regress back to some years ago. I was turned on to an inkling
of the science of life right after college, due to reading some of
Hermann Hesse's books. I had always been a questioner of orthodox
religion, and was a seeker, so to speak, at an early age.
In my mid-thirties, I ran across a wide range of reading material on,
let's say, all sorts of information on spirituality, etc. As a result,
I started to experiment with meditation for a short period each day.
Securing a foothold by keeping at it for a few years, I gained a
momentum that brought my karma to a point where things started to
happen. I became aware of being centered in a quiet, calm state that
was pleasing, and occasionally produced sublime ecstasy. At this time,
being a North Carolina native, but having lived in diverse places as
NYC, Miami, and Wash.DC, I was now living in VA. Beach, VA.
One night, after finishing a gig at a club, I came home around 3:00
and proceeded to hit the hay. As soon as I had lain down, I sensed a
feeling of being in some sort of 'presence'. At first, I was
concerned, and a little leery of what was happening to me. But, I
decided to let it run its course and see what happened.
This feeling got more intense, but I was amenable to letting it lead,
guide and direct me. And it did. For over an hour, I sat around as this
phenomenal experience progressed. Eventually, I felt a need to get up
and go to the beach, which was 4 or 5 blocks away. I got dressed, got
on my bicycle and pedaled off to the beach, all the while getting
euphoric along the way. It was still dark when I arrived at the
oceanfront. I positioned myself atop a tall wooden lifeguard chair.
At this point, I am cognizant of how wild and extra-sensory this is,
but am estatic about the whirlwind ride I am on, and am willing and
eager to go onward. I am feeling excited, joyous, and having no concern
for any problems. I have a sense of eternal consciousness. No fear.
The morning sun starts to peek into the darkness, and some walkers and
joggers are starting to hit the beach. The seagulls are flying and the
waves are breaking on the shore, all in the amplified colors of an LSD
trip. I am 'at one' with everything. I am a part of, and in everything.
I sense an expanded sense of intelligence, intuition, and a relatedness
to the 'all' of everything. I relate to being a grain of beach sand, I
am the seagull; I can actually be inside the gull and view the beach,
and myself, as I fly around. I feel as if everyone on the beach is my
best friend, and I enthusiastically salute and offer a greeting to each
passer-by. One beautiful girl approaced, and, when she entered in range
of my 'energy blanket' she became buzzed, and I felt that I could have
seduced her right there on the spot with nary a bit of resistance on
her part. That thought dissipated, as my 'experience' was more
interesting and overpowering than even this beautiful female creature.
Not knowing what was actually happening to me, how long it would go on,
and not caring, I sat on the lifeguard throne for close to an hour. At
this point, I could sense a waning of these most wonderful effects. I
bicycled home, still with a significant awareness. I went to bed when I
got home, but after about an hour of thinking about all this, I knew I
might as well get up. A bare thread of this episode lasted until around
mid-day. I went about my business the rest of the day as if nothing had
happened. But, I knew I had experienced something that only a handful
of people that have ever lived experience. It was an episode of 'cosmic
consciousness'. This phenomenal occurence is presented in the famous
book 'Cosmic Consciousness' by Richard Maurice Bucke, M.D.
I did not go around telling everyone about the event. It sounds too
bizarre, and I only relate it here to make my readers, or clientele
aware of where I'm coming from when I present them with certain
information regarding consciousness. It left me endowed with
sensitivity, and an awareness and intuition that is not commonly
possessed.
This was a one-time event; having left its mark and influence
permanently upon me. My meditation period took on a new intensity and
activity factor afterward. This 'presence' would always present itself
during the meditation period. This may be considered to be the 'Holy
Spirit' of the Bible,as well as being the 'Kundalini' of the Eastern
religions. It is the active principle of creation. It is active life
force. All this is explained fully in 'Life is a Science, Not a Roll of
the Dice'. During meditation, movements, or krias and mudras, are
activated. This activity acts on the physical, emotional, and mental
aspects. For more details, page back and read Kundalini Lasts All Day.
Let me jump ahead. I observesd that many times the movements (krias
and mudras)resembled cetain movements and postures I did in power
yoga, and even traditional exercise. One day, it came to my mind to
see if I could give direction to this lifeforce. Lo, and behold, it
followed my direction. I started to make my exercise workout a
meditation period. I would sit and ask for a consciousness of the
presence of pure being to come forth. When the 'presence' was in
effect, I would direct it to lead, guide and direct a session, let's
say, for legs, and it would. I could even break it down to just the
calf of the leg. I would set up the session design, and automatically,
movement to the effect would be initiated. The life force was moving
me, exercising me, from movement to movement. I could stop the action
anytime I desired, and continue again as I let go and let the life
force start again. Understand, I am completely in my normal
self-consciousness as this proceeds. I can also delineate the time
frame for the session to last. If I call for the session to last 10
minutes, it will last exactly 10 minutes. I have observed this
accuracy by observing the clock. I can leave the time frame open to
the discretion of the life force and it will let me know when it is
through. I know the session is over by the 'click'. There is a sort of
immediate noticeability of when the action starts and when it ends.
Not wishing to belabour this treatise any further, let's say that,
through thousands of exercise sessions, I have experienced a myriad of
exercises that I have never done, or seen described anywhere else.
This has enabled me to devise programs (Yoga by Ennis) for clients
that are intuitively designed and especially beneficial for them. As
may be surmised, due to certain experiences, I have an avid interest
in the 'science of life'. The obligation to endure, gives us each the
right to know. However, the desire to know comes from within.
'Seek and you shall find' is a saying that certainly was true for me.
Here, let me inerject the fact that I can either direct the life force
to a specific type session, or, I can leave it up to the life force to
design a session that it deems to be appropriate. If I leave the
timeframe open, the 'force' will end the session, I assume, at the
perfect time. Generally, this would be in the 20-30 minute range.
I'm not going to go into detail here, but, let it be noted that this
directional ability can be utilized to perform other assignments.
